CHC32015 Certificate III in Community Services

Course Overview

This course will teach you how to provide a range of services to support clients in the community services sector. This qualification offers pathways into further community services related education and training.

Course Fees

Government funded: $150

*Enrolment Fee includes the administration and materials cost

Self-funded: $4,650

Individuals ineligible for funding are obligated to cover the self-funded fee, which incorporates the enrolment fee. Eligibility criteria applies.

For additional service fees, such as re-assessment fees or Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL), please refer to the Student Course guide. This program is delivered with Victorian and Commonwealth government funding to eligible candidates.

This course is made up of 12 units of competency including 5 core and 7 elective units.

  • CHCDIV001 Work with diverse people
  • HLTWHS002 Follow safe work practices for direct client care
  • HLTWHS006 Manage personal stressors in the work environment

 

Electives

  • CHCVOL001 Be an effective volunteer
  • CHCYTH001 Engage respectfully with young people
  • CHCYTH003 Support young people to create opportunities in their lives
  • CHCGRP001 Support group activities
  • CHCSOH001 Work with people experiencing or at risk of homelessness
  • CHCPRP001 Develop and maintain networks and collaborative partnerships
  • CHCADV001 Facilitate the interests and rights

Elective units in our courses may be amended for specific organisational needs. Consultation with the Education and Training Manager is required for tailored electives that align with your organisations requirements.

Course Duration

This model is delivered over a 30 week period.

Classroom model - Training is delivered 1 day a week onsite, (excluding public holidays and school holidays). Work is required to be completed outside of classroom time.

Hybrid model - 1 day a week through a combination of face to face or zoom classes (excluding public holidays and school holidays). Work is required to be completed outside of classroom time.

Entry Requirements

There are no prerequisite qualifications required to enter this program. 

To enrol you must be willing to obtain a:

·         Working with Children’s Check

·         National Police Check

·         NDIS Worker Screening Check.

·         Australian Citizen

You will also need to provide evidence of your vaccination history, including COVID-19.
